My name is Woody and I am a very handsome yellow Labrador. My story starts with Guide Dogs of America, where I was a puppy in training to be a guide for the blind. All the dogs in my group were named after an island, and Woody is an island in the South China Sea. I successfully completed my guide dog training, but because of COVID, the school was not able to match me with a suitable partner, so I returned to my puppy raiser’s home (she was very happy about this!). I love tummy rubs and always need to have a toy in my mouth. I also will eat anything you put in front of me – I am a Labbie! I am also what my mom calls “an old soul.” I think that means I am pretty intuitive and calm.
